Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC)

At Lammack Primary School, we believe Learning Outside the Classroom is an essential way of learning and that it should take place throughout the year and not just during the summer months. LOtC is developed through using areas not only in school, the school grounds and locality but also through trips and a Year 6 residential. Staff ensure activities are safe for pupils but allow them also to take appropriate risks. Risk assessments are completed for all offsite experiences and stored on evolve. Safety and behaviour are discussed before every outside activity takes place.
